DAVID FIRTH

David firth

David firth is a UK digital artist and 2d animator, his work is usually is a mix of unsettling imagery with dark humor. David firth tapps into a unsettling realm of work that is very rarely explored in mainstream art offering horrifying mesmerising results.

In childhood, David would often spend his time daydreaming, he found school very boring and wasn't interested in the future, so by daydreaming he could pass time in class whilst thinking of new sketches he could create at home. His friend circle grew an interest in david works, but always liked the crude and disturbing characters the most out of his works. Continuing on, david started to find school increasingly more difficult, he did not seek help and continued to daydream and draw. Later on david began to take up a career in art as his grades were not good enough to get higher education or a job, luckily he began to receive a rising level of appreciation on the site newgrounds, were amutur artists and animaters made works to be viewed online (an early youtube). He has since taken up animation whilst still doing sketches for concept art and characters. His works in a semi abstract stylle and features a dull or black and white colour palette in most works, adding to the uneasiness of the artwork.

David firth’s work certainly belongs in a category of its own, the mood it generates and the look of the work are not often experienced in a gallery or traditional art space. Despite his rocky journey to becoming an artist, it is clear David has found is own unique place in the digital art community were his success hopefully will continue to grow.
